1) Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), Amritsar — the one non-negotiable. Go at 4am for the Palki Sahib procession, then again at 9pm for the closing. 2) Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib — birthplace of the Khalsa, quieter and more contemplative than Amritsar. 3) Durgiana Mandir, Amritsar — often called the Silver Temple, 15 minutes' walk from Harmandir Sahib and worth the detour for the mirror work.
4) Gurdwara Bangla Sahib style but in Punjab: Fatehgarh Sahib — the Jyoti Swaroop complex is stark and powerful. 5) Ram Tirath, near Amritsar — the mythological birthplace of Luv and Kush, low tourist traffic.
6) Gurdwara Ber Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi — where Guru Nanak received enlightenment, and criminally under-visited. 7) Devi Talab Mandir, Jalandhar — the tank alone is worth the stop. 8) Baba Sodal Mandir, Jalandhar — busy on the fair days, skippable otherwise. 9) Sanghol Buddhist stupa site, Fatehgarh Sahib — technically archaeological but spiritually alive. 10) Mata Chintpurni-adjacent Naina Devi (just over the HP border) — overrated for the crowds, honest ranking.
